I don’t think that having PTSD can cause the micro-seizure that causes all of the cognitive symptoms in M.E./CFS. Just because someone gets diagnosed with an illness does not necessarily mean that they have that illlness. 10-15% of people diagnosed with “CFS” (based on fatigue alone without any pain) do not have M.E./CFS acc. to Hyde who has found that most of these patients have missed cancer, heart disease, etc.

To MilkyLicker:- The problem is mixing up Neuro ME with ‘chronic fatigue’. ME is Neuro immune defined. There is harm in claiming that EFT can cure a WHO classified Neuro immune multisystem physcal disease. The Chief Medical Officer’s Working Group said in its Report on ME in 2002 that ME should be given parity with Multiple Sclerosis and Motor Neurone Disease. EFT ‘masters’ are careless in their claims and uniformed about the medical facts about Mylagic Encephalomyelitis.

  5. VivianeOfAvalon says:

The retrovirus family XMRV/MLV is now very strongly implicated in ME/CFS.

ME/CFS is overdiagnosed in the UK due to lax diagnostic criteria and the common confusion of ME/CFS with conditions that include fatigue, including burnout, overtraining syndrome, stress, depression and many conditions that include fatigue but are simply not ME/CFS.

EFT needs to clean up its act and stop claiming to treat/cure ME/CFS.

  6. VivianeOfAvalon says:

You may not be aware that from the 1st November 2010 the UK will issue a lifetime ban on blood donations from people diagnosed with ME/CFS. Canada, New Zealand and Australia have already issued similar bans. ME/CFS is Neuro-immune.
The retrovirus family XMRV/MLV is now very strongly implicated in ME/CFS.
But ME is overdiagnosed in the UK due to lax diagnostic criteria and the common confusion of ME with conditions that include fatigue, including burnout, overtraining syndrome, depression.

  8. MilkyLicker3587 says:

@OlgaRozanova – You have your facts mixed up. XMRV was never proven to be a cause of CFS/ME. Until someone actually proves it or finds the definitive cause of CFS/ME, I say that it’s best to keep an open mind. EFT could be complete nonsense, I can’t say for sure, but it’s entirely free and anyone can do it at home…no harm in trying it.

My daughter suffers from Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, I will say this, one year of too many medications, at one point almost a drone.Wheelchair to slight limp, less meds more personal prayer , a pain specialist, who acknowledges her faith, she’s still in pain. They are Neuropathic diseases, though relaxation, and non invasive therapies help manage pain, it does not cure it. Anyone whose experienced chronic pain understands, and will try anything to have a normal life. If it works, Praise God !

  11. FreeBritain1 says:

So whether or not it works and I will do my best to ensure it does, I am very thankful to all of the people concerned. They are offering ‘free’ help for people who in their desperation for relief are frequently scammed.
God bless everyone in this world who is 1) genuine and 2) continues to ‘care’. May the goodness of Christ continue to reign. Amen
    Anne

  12. FreeBritain1 says:

I think anyone with M.E. is happy to try almost anything.
I will try this and I’m thankful for Raven’s kindness in sending me the information.
I’ve only practiced it once and I already feel different. I also flooded from my eyes afterwards, so there must have been some release? At the moment I am glowing and there’s some change going on in my muscles. The pain is easing. I know I carry a lot of grief (loss) and I’ll work on anything else as well.
So many try to scam and this help is free.

Daily practice of FasterEFT (80pg manual NOT required) healed me from total disability of Fibromyalgia/Chronic Mono. I was skeptical but it didn’t require my belief in order to work. This system works if you are willing to try it and practice it daily. Love & Peace

  14. OlgaRozanova says:

The retrovirus XMRV is now implicated in ME. The origin and mode of XMRV transmission in human populations are key public health issues that National Cancer Institute scientists are now addressing. ME is a multisystem organic disabling, sometimes fatal disease, WHO classified Neurological since 1969. UK diagnostic criteria wrongly diagnoses on the presence of fatigue, so many have been misdiagnosed with ME. Many ME patents have died from ME direct in the UK, neglect of care or bullied to death

  15. OlgaRozanova says:

You cannot cure a retrovirus with hypno-tapping. Burnnout, trauma, overtraining, anxiety, are not ME

Fact: Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) is a Neuro Immune multisystem physical, sometimes fatal disease WHO classified physical neurological G93.3 since 1969.
Fact: The retrovirus XMRV is now implicated in ME.
Fact: People with ME are not allowed to give blood to the National Blood Bank.
Fact: UK Children and adults with ME have been subjected to wrongful institutional and medical abuse

  16. viclewis23 says:

well, “this ain’t it” may be true in your model of the world, but i am a survivor of severe, and i mean severe trauma, which i carried for 45 and 48 years. after 3 hours of tapping on these persistent and chronic traumas, they were gone. one of them has been gone without a trace for 3 years. the other has been GONE for about a year. i have been certified as an EFT practitioner since january. i have literally help people return from the brink of death. no this ain’t “science.” it is healing.

  17. kungfu2u2 says:

Like chiropractic, EFT is just an over-priced massage without the “happy ending.” It might “work” in some freak cases, but that usually means that it wasn’t chronic to begin with, but a temporary problem that resolved itself.
And of course they say “Voila– IT WORKED!”
PTSD is a serious chronic problem, sometimes incurred over a long period of time, often in childhood. It can’t be relieved by moving your eyes, someone tapping you etc. Real problems need real treatment, and this ain’t it.

  18. kungfu2u2 says:

Agreed– this is JUNK SCIENCE. EFT, EMDR and other treatments are NOT EFFECTIVE in most cases of PSTD.
Like faith-healing, snake-oil and other junk-science, they give false hope to victims in order to waste their time, money and grief.

  19. standekoster says:

    look
th body has input processing an output

    potato=>frying=>fries

so if you put some other input it may change but if you put like a raw vegan diet

    vegan diet=>frying=>fried vegan diet

    so its still fried

what EFT does its changes the proces

i relieved my little social anxiety
did the diet help it help you ?

  20. dannybex says:

Meow, it’s unfortunate that people who often need these “out-there” type treatments, are the ones who refuse to open their minds to them. Forget EFT for a minute. Google Dr. John Sarno M.D. A medical doctor who has cured thousands of people with chronic back pain, fibro, etc., even people who had slipped discs. How? By helping them release their anger and rage that they didn’t even know they had. People who were in pain for 20-30 years were pain free within weeks.

  21. natrulee1 says:

What’s genuine about EFT and pure, there’s no investment but your own self. Sure you can pay someone to do it, I suppose, but there is so much info. that teaches you to do it for your own self. So to me, there are no room for discredits….

  22. 2008Raw2008 says:

so, did you try EFT? it didn’t work for you?

did you try eating a 100% raw vegan diet? I met a lady just last week who cured herself from FM, and is living a healthy, pain free life. the duration of your suffering is in no way an esteemable accomplilshment.

  23. theirlinator says:

And the trigger for a mental/anxiety condition like PTSD isn’t a “REAL physical problem” – its just perceived danger. You can develop it by FEELING just once in your life like you’re in great danger, hopeless, and can die any second, even if you’re you’re actually safe and can suffer from PTSD after that for years. You don’t think emotions affect your physical body? mild example -Have you ever been so pissed you got a headache, been depressed or feeling emotionally down that you felt exausted?

  24. theirlinator says:

lol meow go tell that to the millions of people who have anxiety disorders and depression but logically should be feeling great. Or the people with debilitating irrational phobias. Your emotions affect your logic, not the other way around. If your logic affected your emotions effectively, people wouldn’t be depressed or wouldn’t have PTSD. Thats why you have work with the emotions directly somehow – cuz once the bad feeling is gone like fear, logic changes too.
